Trenton State Gazette, January 11, 1878. Phenomenal Muskrats: excellent post-punk band out of Sheffield, England. Released a half dozen great singles but then broke up when they failed to attract major label support.
So, an albino muskrat is “phenomenal”? What then would constitute a “prodigious” muskrat? One of great size, or possessing extra limbs?
I’m having a hard time parsing the varieties of 19th century teratologies.
One wonders what the editors of the Trenton Star Gazette would make of a capybara.
Brunswick stew, probably. Or perhaps burgoo.
