I wonder if it worked on the same principles as the flameless ration heater that the U.S. military uses for its MREs. Either way, I doubt the U.S. Post Office would be too keen on this kind of thing today.

  1. I’m of the opinion that we really need to bring the word “toothsome” back into general use.

    • I’ve been doing my part for years. Lovely word. “Innards” also. Never pass up a chance to say “innards.”
