Fer fuck’s sakes , where the hell was this during the many dark years of debate about Quebec’s status as a “distinct society”?

My first thought was some sort of congenital myotonia (cf "fainting goat"), but a little searching reveals that Jumping Frenchmen of Maine is a distinct diagnosis, and may be psychological rather than neurological or muscular.
